Job Overview: Responsible for overseeing the financial operations and clients in Vietnam and Singapore. Must ensure compliance with Vietnam’s accounting and tax regulations with timely and accurate reporting. Also pursue opportunities to find new clients in Vietnam.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting compliance: Ensuring compliance with the Law on Accounting and that accounting systems are organized accordingly.
- Financial statements: Ensuring financial statements comply with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Accounting-related documents: Signing off on accounting-related documents and financial statements.
- Liaison: Acting as a liaison between the firm and authorities.
- Audit response: Heading up the response to audits.
- Accounting team management: Managing and overseeing the entire accounting team.
- Training: Conducting necessary training to keep the team's skills and knowledge up to date.
- Tax interviews: Ensuring proper tax interviews with clients and collecting necessary documents.
- Tax returns: Reviewing corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, sales receipts and bank reconciliation, general ledger, payroll, budgeting cash forecast revenue and expenditure variance analysis, fixed assets, etc.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements as required by Management.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records and leading in audits and perform reconciliation as required by audits.
- Supervise and manage sales invoicing with detailed understanding of project contracts terms and working closely with sales department in accounts receivables and sales collection.
- Review staff sales commission record and reconciliation.
- Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency, including create and adopt SOPs for the Accounting and other departments in compliance of the internal control procedures.
- Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensuring that all accounting processes align with FRS and current financial legislations.
- Analyzing financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as financial or sales consultants.
- Manage all banking matters, including internet banking.
- Manage Corporate Income tax and GST & VAT regulations of Singapore and Vietnam, including the filing and submission of quarterly GST & VAT.
- Responsible for corporate secretariat works by working closely with professional corporate secretary on various filing in compliance with the Companies Act and ACRA.
- Working closely with Management and assisting other departments to develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.

- High level of efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or any professional certification in Accountancy such as ACCA, ICEAW, C.A (Singapore or Vietnam), CPA (Australia) etc.
- 6 years of relevant working experience in commercial accounting and finance with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
- Adequate understanding and experience in Corporate Income tax and GST, VAT regulations of Singapore and Vietnam, including the filing and submission of quarterly GST & VAT.
- Willingness to comply with all local and company regulations.
- Willing to work for SME(s) and reporting to local entrepreneurs and to take a leadership role in setting good and strong corporate culture in the Company.
