Job Overview: The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth, expanding market reach, and strengthening strategic partnerships. This position is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, optimizing patient/ client acquisition strategies, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including insurers, insurance agencies, and corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market dynamics, business development strategies, and partnership management. By leveraging both online and offline engagement channels, the Business Development Manager will enhance the client’s brand presence, drive revenue growth, and establish as a preferred healthcare provider. This role requires proactive leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex business negotiations in a competitive healthcare landscape.

Clinic Hours:  

Monday to Friday: 08:30 am to 05:00 pm

Saturday: 08:30 am to 12:00 pm

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
    1. Develop and implement strategies to drive customer acquisition and hit revenue targets.
    2. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion channels to enhance the client’s market presence.
    3. Work with key stakeholders to maximize high-value client relationships and ensure long-term business success.
    4. Directly approach large companies and banks to establish partnerships and drive corporate client acquisition.  
  2. Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Management
    1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and key referral partners to drive business growth.
    2. Develop partnerships with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and corporate clients to expand the client’s reach.
    3. Lead negotiations and manage contracts with external partners to secure favourable business terms.
    4. Approach insurance agencies to establish partnerships for patient referral programs and joint initiatives. Collaborate with insurance partners to organize seminars, workshops, and educational events to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
    5. Monitor and ensure alignment between HQ and on-ground projects in Vietnam, ensuring business strategies, partnerships, and operational activities meet HQ’s expectations and objectives. Act as a key liaison between HQ and local teams, providing regular updates and addressing any gaps in execution.
  3. Market Expansion & Customer Engagement
    1. Drive targeted marketing efforts to enhance visibility and patient/ customer acquisition in high-potential markets. Oversee offline acquisition channels, such as cancer education seminars.
    2. Develop tailored business strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth clients through VIP patient services. Ensure business activities comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
    3. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize business operations to improve efficiency.
    4. Collaborate with the HQ to develop branding strategies that enhance the client’s business positioning.
  4. Office & Operations Management
    1. Collaborate with the Regional HR Manager to manage the HR functions for the rep office in Vietnam, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
    2. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies, keeping the office up-to-date with labor laws, health & safety standards, and other statutory requirements.
    3. Oversee office expenses and budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial goals.
  5. Support on Ad Hoc Activities
    1. Assist in organizing and executing  HQ visits, events, networking sessions, and industry conferences.
    2. Provide insights on business development trends and industry best practices to improve strategic decision-making.

    4. REQUIREMENTS              

    Attributes & Skills 

    1. Mature, self-driven professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work independently while effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels.
    2. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    3. Ability to oversee digital marketing initiatives is a plus. 

    Knowledge

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
    2. Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in the healthcare or financial services industry.
    3. Strong understanding of strategic partnerships, market expansion, and the legal and commercial aspects of corporate client engagement.
    4. Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation, with strong negotiation skills to lead discussions, influence outcomes, and close strategic deals.
    5. Prior experience working with multinational companies (MNCs) and/or exposure to international work or education is highly preferred.
    6. Fluency in English (spoken) is required.
